Christian Jail Ministry

Grassroots Crisis Center (Serving the Homeless of Howard County)

Grassroots Crisis Center serves the homeless in Howard county. It is on Freetown Rd. in Columbia. To feed its 50 residents, the center relies on contributions from churches and food banks.

Chapelgate provides a meal the second Monday of every month. Each team member either cooks the main dish for 13 or a side dish for 17. The team leader emails you the menu. If you are available that month, you email the team leader what you would like to provide. It is bought to church by 10:30 am the Sunday before or to the center by 4pm the day of the meal. MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

MOPS provides fellowship and an introduction to the Christian faith for mothers of pre-schoolers, from conception to kindergarten. MOPS has morning and evening sessions to meet the various needs of the working or stay-at-home Mom.
