Job 30:26

But when I hoped for good, evil came; 

when I looked for light, darkness came. 

Sometimes we look for good but see only evil around us - maybe even in our own hearts. Job is expressing this reality, in the faint hope that somehow God will come through. John 1:4 tells us that darkness cannot overcome the light that Jesus brings into the world. How do you respond to this promise from God?
