Family University

When raising our children today we cannot escape the presence of screens and technology being every present in their lives.  As they get older and become pre-teens and teens they are introduced to the world of mobile phones, video games & social media.  How do we make sense of this?  How can I help my children and students become responsible users of technology.

Join us on October 7 from 7-9 PM for our first Family University: Navigating Technology and Social Media in the Children’s Theater. Our student ministry staff; Steve Dallwig & Tim Beschner walk us through the world of Social Media, phones and technology and give you practical tools and knowledge to help you as you walk with your kids from dependent children to independence responsible young adults.

Topics covered will include:

- The blessings & curses of smart phones, computers and game systems

- Discover  the current social media apps & trends and how help your kids use it safely and effectively.

- The emotional and spiritual influence of social media

- How to protect your students and family from accessing dangerous content.

- How to respond when kids fail.

The seminar is free and childcare will be provided.
