Day 20
Psalm 50:7-15
“...the world and its fullness are mine.”
We end this journey where we began - with our God who has made, and who owns all things! As children growing up in the church, we used to sing, “He owns the cattle on a thousand hills, the wealth in every mine...” based on this Psalm. Real freedom comes when we recognize that God is our truest Source of joy and all blessings, including our resources. This liberates us to give cheerfully, sacrificially, and with thanksgiving!
In the years to come, our prayer is that this will continue to be the testimony of the Chapelgate Presbyterian Church - the people, changed lives, sacrifices, moves, construction projects, hardships, uncertainties and challenges have all been worth it and will be worth it - because our God is worth it!
How might your life best reflect one of resting in God’s goodness and provision as they relate to living generously?
One Takeaway:
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, You are over all.
You are worthy of our praise when we go through hard times. You are worthy of our devotion when we do not understand your plan. You are worthy of our time when we are overwhelmed and you are worthy of our gifts when we feel that we don’t have enough to give.
Thank you that whatever lies behind us and whatever goes before us in this journey of faith, you are worthy of it all.
Help us to see it as an honor to graciously give back to our God who is the giver of everything that we have.
Father, you can have it all, because you are worth it all.
Through Jesus, Amen
