Full-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
The Mission of the CFO is to support the implementation of Chapelgate’s mission and vision by providing financial oversight with excellence and grace. As a staff member in charge of the Business Office, the CFO’s primary responsibility is to ensure the safekeeping and accurate reporting of the assets of Chapelgate Presbyterian Church (CPC) and its ministries, including Chapelgate Christian Academy (CCA), Life Counseling Center Ministries (LCCM), and Metro Baltimore Seminary (MBS).
This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position.
The annual salary range is $120,000 – $170,000, depending on years of experience.

Salary Information
General Responsibilities:
Attendance at semi-monthly staff meetings, and weekly Ministers and Directors meetings
Punctual and regular work hours
Specific Responsibilities:
Hire, mentor, and manage the Business Office staff.
Responsible for implementation and assessment of internal accounting controls.
Manage the annual budget process for CPC and CCA. Review for LCCM and MBS.
Supervise the daily accounting including cash receipts, cash disbursements, money management, payroll, expense reporting, tuition billing and donor records.
Produce and distribute monthly financial reports including cash flow projections for the Director of Operations, Finance Committee, CCA Head of School and Board, Directors, Ministers and Department Heads. Review monthly financial report packages for LCCM and MBS.
Ensure and maintain compliance for all companies with all applicable Federal and State regulations and hiring practices.
Manage the employee benefit programs.
Function as HR Officer supervising Senior Accountant in the HR Staff Role.
Manage bank and vendor relationships.
Oversee the annual review/audit of the Financial Statements by the outside accountants.
Qualifications:
Chapelgate Membership is preferred, but not required. Must be able to sign Statement of Faith.
4 Year Accounting Degree
CPA is preferred, but not required
A minimum of 6 years’ experience as leader of corporate accounting
Knowledge of fund accounting
Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail
Proficient with MS Word and Excel
Experience preferred with Sage 300 ERP, QuickBooks Online and ADP
Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
A working understanding of Chapelgate’s mission and vision
