Chapelgate Shepherdess Ministry
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 ESV
Why do we have this ministry?
We believe that no woman in crisis should walk alone. Our aim is to bring women out of the shadows of fear, shame, and isolation and into the safety, freedom and healing of the love of Christ. Life in this broken world can be overwhelming and painful. In God’s kindness, He has given us one another so that we don’t walk alone.
What does it look like?
The Shepherdess ministry exists to walk alongside women who are in crisis and distress. Crises may include trauma, abuse, infidelity, death, dramatic life changes or difficult life circumstances. As women courageously reach out for help, our Shepherdesses come alongside these sisters to meet one-one one and offer biblical counsel and perspective, prayer, friendship, support and love. Additionally, elders and pastors collaborate with our shepherdess to care well for the souls of the women of our church. The identity of each woman who comes to us for care is fiercely guarded and protected. This ministry operates with the strictest parameters of confidentiality.
