Monday, April 7th

Philippians 1:20-21 For I fully expect and hope that I will never be ashamed, but that I will continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die. For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better.

I lament my inability to fully live for Christ. The spirit God placed in me is willing, but my flesh is weak. I am comforted that by God’s grace and mercy, submitting myself unto him in faith I will not be put to shame.

Lord, please make me bold to be in you and for you. I know that no matter what trials or struggles come my way, if I suffer for you I will never be ashamed. I need help in my willingness to suffer for your glory. Please strengthen me to die to myself and live for Christ. Amen.
