2 Corinthians 4:17-18 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Every hard thing. Losing a loved one to suicide, trying to help another loved one suffering through addiction, financial hard times, accidents, seasons of feeling alone…

Lord, help me never to lose “sight” of my context - that as heavy as the hard things that happen to me here might feel, they really are light and momentary when held up against what You are preparing for us. Help me to keep my focus on the things that are unseen and grant me the faith to trust that all of Your promises are answered “yes” in Christ. In His precious name, Amen.
