Psalm 71:20-21 Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once more.

Seeing my sister so sick in the hospital after her transplant, I was so worried that things weren't going to get better. It seemed like every day she was there, something else went wrong with her health. I prayed every night that she was in the hospital that the Lord would restore her strength and give her peace and give my family and I peace as well. Praise God that she ended up making it out of the hospital, she is truly one of the strongest people I know!

Lord, I thank you that you are a God of comfort and rest. I thank you that you are a God of restoration and peace and that through the cross on Calvary, not only are we forgiven, but relentlessly loved and pursued by you. I pray Jesus, that though I may go through tribulations in this life, you will give me peace and remind me that everything is always part of your greater plan, so I may proclaim your goodness and give all the glory to you when, by your hand, you relieve me of my struggles! Thank you, Jesus, for being the provider of my peace and joy, you alone are the only one who is truly deserving of the glory and praise, and in Your name I pray, amen.
