Psalm 51:14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, O God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness.
This verse has been a profound comfort to me in a time of being tempted to self-loathe, reminding me of the depths of God’s mercy and the righteousness that comes from Him alone.
Lord, no sweet-smelling soap lather cleansed my bloodstained hands; blood demanded blood. In love you bore that brutal burden; in love you delivered me and blotted out my iniquities. I thank you for correcting my source of righteousness and allowing me to have rest in my only Savior. Holy Spirit, may the joy of my salvation exude from the essence of my life. Amen.
