Psalm 61:2-3 From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe.
Years of anxious thoughts and controlling behaviors culminated in insomnia and panic attacks in 2002. That led to a journey through counseling, realization, and change to respond to life’s challenges by trust more than by trying.
Father, only in Your hands are my fears absorbed by Your loving embrace. Forgive me for responding to the “what ifs” in my life with anxiety and vain attempts at controlling the outcomes. You alone can be trusted to give what I truly need.
