1 Corinthians 16:1-4
“Now concerning the collection of the saints...”

“The collection of the saints” is what makes the church budget ‘work,’ humanly speaking, from week to week. No one person’s offering is enough, but God blesses and multiplies the communal generosity of His people in the local church. Ask God to give you grace (and courage) to start! Give where your heart enables you to, and then let Him cause the increase in His time and as He frees you.

What a shift COVID brought to “the collection of the saints” at Chapelgate! The day of Ushers walking up and down aisles with silver plates for checks and cash have been transformed into electronic offerings, where 90% of our giving happens online! But “the collection of the saints” is still vital to the life of the church. The everyday needs like power, water, administrative office costs, and salaries, are vital to every ministry in the church. We simply could not do without them.
